Design Walkthrough
Design walkthroughs test new concepts and prototype designs to determine how well they match previously-defined success criteria. Occurring before full product or software development begins, design walkthroughs let you test product concepts without committing extensive development resources or effort.
What We Do
We conduct one-on-one test sessions in which a research analyst observes a test participant making his or her way through a particular usage scenario. The test participant is asked to give feedback on the flow of the processes, the overall look and feel, navigational issues, terminology used, color and graphics. As usability issues emerge, Macadamian will explore design alternatives with test participants to help you develop effective design solutions.
What You Get
Design walkthroughs let you evaluate and tailor your product to meet user expectations before your software is built or your website is launched. You’ll receive:
- A Design Walkthrough Test Report that includes an executive summary, findings and recommendations, data summary and our analyses
- A video of each testing session.
- A CD (optional) containing video clips of the design walkthrough.
Through these deliverables, you can:
- Gather user experience feedback early in the design process to validate design strategies and set the foundation for future software development.
- Understand and resolve initial content, design and functionality issues.
- Evaluate and consider user comments and suggestions to ensure a "Best in Class" design.
